BrianBrian is one of the hosts of Scenic City Skeptic Podcast. He is a native of Lafayette, GA, but moved to Chattanooga, TN. Brian has been an atheist since January of 2013. He is a former Baptist Youth Minister, but his determination to learn more about his faith, sparked by trouble in the church is what led him to be the person he is today.

Although he is a firebrand atheist, Brian primarily identifies as a Humanist. He believes in putting the lives and rights of others before ideologies.

Hosting a podcast has helped Brian find his voice. It has also helped him become part of a fantastic family of secular activists and podcast hosts.

LexiLexi Whittenburg grew up in North Georgia, to find herself now living in Chattanooga, TN. She was a lifelong believer until 2016, when her boyfriend and podcast co-host, Brian Sipsy, convinced her otherwise. At 21, she is now living the life she’s always wanted with the freedom she’s always been promised, but never found in religion.

Lexi is an atheist and a humanist (mostly a humanist). She is involved in many groups in the greater Chattanooga area, but she only has one that is something special. Lexi is one of the leaders of Atheists Helping the Homeless Chattanooga, and she is the co-host to Scenic City Skeptic with Brian. She is also an amateur singer and sometimes, will sing for you on the podcast.

This podcast is helping her see the truth and the real world through skeptical eyes as she goes through her journey, and through life. Though she has many skewed thoughts on a lot of subjects, or just simply doesn’t know the answer to some of the questions life throws at us, it’s still enlightening and a fun show to join; and it’s a great place to learn how to teach new atheists who are questioning and needing help.
